Job Description:
ER-7 at Northwest Hospital currently sees over 60,000 patients per year and has 49 beds. The department treats major and minor illnesses, typically related to cardiac and behavioral health. Additionally, ER-7 staff may provide care for orthopedic injuries or minor trauma. ER-7 has a rapid care area as well, designated for minor illnesses. Staff members of ER-7 are outgoing and positive, and must utilize strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status, and be able to effectively implement clinical nursing interventions to modify symptoms.
Position Summary: Provides safe, age-appropriate patient care, and function as advisor, resource, for patients and their families as a member of the patient care team.
Requirements:Formal working knowledge; equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college); requires knowledge of a specialized field.Bachelor's of Nursing, preferred.; Bachelor's of Nursing, preferred; BSN's from CCNE accredited schools. Less than a year experience. BLS certification; ACLS - excludes Acute Care and OR within 1 yr; PALS - ED and PACU, only; Maryland Registered Nurse License; American Heart Association CPR Certification
