Under limited supervision, the Maryland Hospital Acquired Conditions Quality Nurse Coordinator is responsible for the daily oversight and management of the MHAC team and coordination of care for those patients at risk or with an Hospital Acquired Condition. This includes staff and provider education program development, implementation, and evaluation; patient and staff education; as well as oversight of interdisciplinary/interprofessional collaboration for optimal patient care and safety. The MHAC Quality Nurse Coordinator (QNC) is a recognized expert in his/her field. He/she adheres to all best practice processes implemented by department or division. The MHAC QNC exemplifies the Professional Practice Model. A key success factor is the ability to work collaboratively with all levels within the organization, across the LifeBridge system, and with our community partners. She/he works under the direct supervision and direction of the assigned Director.
Requirements: Seasoned professional knowledge equivalent to a Master's degree, MSN required, knowledge in more than one discipline, 3-5 years RN experience in ICU or ED, MD Registered Nurse license, American Heart Association CPR certification, Microsoft Office Suite, intermediate computer skills, Cerner, Healthstream, standard office equipment, medical terminology, Nursing Process skills based on MD Nurse Practice Act, critical thinking skills, medical equipment, experience with program development highly preferred, experience with Hospital Acquired Conditions.
