In the absence of Hospital Administration and other members of the Leadership Team, assumes responsibility for coordinating activities related to overall Hospital operations. Serves as a liaison to all Hospital departments and staff to ensure quality service to all customers, reflecting the mission, vision, goals and philosophy of Northwest Hospital and the Department of Nursing. The Hospital Operations Coordinator manages patient and staff flow, allocating the proper amount of staff to each unit and managing patient flow through those units. This position is also responsible for responding to hospital emergencies. This position should expect to work 1-2, 12-hour shifts per month, weekends and holidays as needed.
Requirements: Basic professional knowledge equivalent to a Bachelor's degree, working knowledge of theory and practice within a specialized field, BSN from an accredited nursing school required, 5-7 years of RN experience, at least 2 years of management experience required (Charge Nurse or Clinical Leaders can be considered), Maryland RN license, AHA CPR certification, and ACLS required.
