Job Summary: Responsible for treatment, and care coordination and management of patients assessed and treated as part of the Colon and Rectal Surgery service in the Department of Surgery. Provides direct clinical support to Division Head of Colon and Rectal Surgery and other providers in the Division. This includes, but not limited to, assistance with outpatient office visits and in-office procedures. Serves as the primary contact and clinical hub for colon and rectal patients and families, assisting in guidance and coordination through the continuum of care. Responsible for the development and implementation of education and orientation programs and clinical problem solving. Provides administrative oversight to the Anal/Rectal Cancer Program, including but not limited, to coordination of patient care, compliance with all database reporting, and preparation of patient reviews for tumor board conferences. Works in partnership with other Department of Surgery providers and staff, along with other clinical departments, to proactively identify and provide for patient needs in accordance with LBH customer service standards and expectations.
Requirements: 1-2 years of experience; Basic professional knowledge; equivalent to a Bachelor's degree; working knowledge of theory and practice within a specialized field
