Job Summary: Monitors and evaluates clinical practice trends and patient outcomes. Coordinates performance improvement activities to promote excellent patient care and outcomes. Develops ongoing education program for staff based on results of quality improvement data, risk reduction strategies/patient safety initiatives and evidence based practice.
Requirements: Seasoned professional knowledge; equivalent to a Master's degree; knowledge in more than one discipline. MSN prepared RN; experience in staff education & outcomes management. Relevant clinical experience (=5 years) may substitute for MSN upon hire with required enrollment in a MSN program within 18 months and completion within 5 years of hire. 5-7 years of experience. Maryland Registered Nurse License; American Heart Association CPR Certification; Specialty certification a plus; ACLS for critical care areas. Microsoft Office Suite; Basic computer skills; Cerner; Healthstream; Standard Office Equipment; Medical terminology; Nursing Process skills based on MD Nurse Practice Act; Critical thinking skills; Medical equipment.
