The Northwest Hospital Float pool is a designated float designed to supplement staffing throughout the Patient Care area. Position summary: As a member of the patient care team, the float RN provides safe, age-appropriate patient care and functions as an advisor and resource for patients and their families. Requirements: Basic professional knowledge; equivalent to a Bachelor's degree; working knowledge of theory and practice within a specialized field. Maryland Registered Nurse License. American Heart Association CPR Certification. Other requirements specific to specialty area. Basic computer skills. Cerner, Medical terminology. Associates that are hired into the float pool are assigned to work in one of the following designated patient care groupings and must be willing to work in all areas of a designated patient care grouping.
RN Float Pool 1: Working in 1 nursing area
RN Float Pool 2: Working in 2 nursing area
RN Float Pool 3: Working in 3 nursing area
RN Float Pool 4: Working in 4 or more nursing area
