Job Summary: Provides front desk support to busy ob-gyn office at Hoffberger and back up to Mays Chapel and Crossroads as needed so independent transportation required. Responsible for answering busy multi-lines phone system, scheduling appointments and taking messages in a computerized practice management system and EMR, patient registration and check-out, collecting copays and completing daily deposits, pulling and filing charts, insurance verifications and other duties as assigned.
Requirements: Formal working knowledge; equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college); requires knowledge of a specialized field. Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology obtained through formal training or previous experience. 1-3 years of experience. IDX; Standard Office Equipment; Medical terminology; Knowledge of third party payors; Performs credit card transactions; Ability to effectively maneuver in the Internet ; Excellent customer service/IPR skills; Excellent organizational skills; Microsoft Office Suite; Basic computer ; Cerner; Synquest. Demonstrates the ability to follow verbal instructions, as well as the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
