The position is responsible to assist in the facilitation of safe and timely patient throughput by optimizing workforce efficiency. In this role staff will be required to effectively assist in the admission, transfer and discharge process of the adult patient population in order to increase bed capacity. In addition, the position requires the ability to assess and care for patients inclusive of the critically ill patient providing safe, quality and competent care. This position reports to the manager of CSC or delegate.
Requirements: Basic professional knowledge; equivalent to a Bachelor's degree; working knowledge of theory and practice within a specialized field; BSN required; Must have current critical care experience. Will consider Intermediate Care exp, if applicant demonstrates a working knowledge and application of infusions telemetry; 3-5 years experience; MD Registered Nurse license; American Heart Association CPR certification; ACLS required; National certification preferred; Microsoft Office Suite; Basic computer skills; Cerner; Healthstream; Standard office equipment; Medical terminology; Nursing Process skills based on MD Nurse Practice Act; Critical thinking skills; Medical equipment.
